After the renovation, the Atrium Zuidas will comply with the sustainability label BREEAM-NL In-Use Very Good. To this end, the building will be connected to three sustainable energy systems: solar panels, cold and heat storage, which will be supplemented by district heating.

In addition to the renovation, expansion will also take place. The whole project is ambitious, challenging and progressive, yet the most exciting element of The New Atrium is the extension with a north and south tower with office facilities. Both towers will be connected to the existing three towers by two new atriums, creating continuous and long sightlines and an open character.

A BREEAM-NL Design Certificate has now been achieved for both the north and south offices, with a score of Excellent.
