The new Bol.com distribution center, located in the Haven Acht business park in Waalwijk, spans 20 hectares and was officially opened in 2017, after construction began in 2016. This vast complex is designed to support the fast delivery of products while providing room for innovation and the growth of the product range.
The distribution center created about 1,000 new jobs and was built with a clear focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Sustainable solutions such as water recycling, the use of renewable energy sources, and measures to create an optimal working environment have been applied.
The distribution center received the BREEAM-NL Certification with an Outstanding score, underlining the project's sustainability and innovative approach. C2N served as the Assessor for the project.
