The new DC Plus is a state-of-the-art automated distribution center, for the storage of all long-life products, which are distributed to all 272 Plus supermarkets. It is located at Vorstengrafdonk logistics business park, stands on 9.3 hectares of land and is over 50,000 square meters in size. The building has 92 loading and unloading doors and a production capacity of 400,000 packages per day.

The new distribution center is largely mechanized, making it one of the most modern distribution centers in the Netherlands. This distribution center ensures more efficient delivery of all PLUS supermarkets. In the design, much attention was paid to creating a pleasant working environment. For example, physically demanding processes have been mechanized, there is daylight in all areas and adjustments have been made to the acoustics to minimize noise as much as possible.

This project was certified with a BREEAM score Outstanding on the completion certificate. C2N fulfilled the role of BREEAM Expert during this project.
