SSH and Jebber are jointly developing the new construction project De Kwekerij on Burgemeester Fockema Andreaelaan in Utrecht. The former KPN building is being transformed into 206 residential units for students and starters, with a total gross floor area of 6,877 m². De Kwekerij, named after former nurseries in the area, will comprise 206 units and is being sustainably developed using locally generated energy.
A total of 206 studios and rooms are being created for students, with commercial spaces on the ground floor. The 126 independent studios, approximately 20 m² each, have their own facilities. Residents of the 80 shared rooms (approximately 15 m²) will share a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony with their housemates. Jebber is responsible for the development of the project, while SSH will handle the leasing, management, and maintenance. The energy will largely come from solar panels.
The project received a design certificate in 2024 with a BREEAM rating of Very Good. C2N serves as the BREEAM Expert.
