Dümmen Orange is the world’s leading breeder and producer of basic material for cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, potted plants, bedding plants and perennials. Its turnover is around EUR 360 million. The company employs more than 7,700 people worldwide. Dümmen Orange’s new Breeding Technology Centre (BTC) was built in De Lier. The laboratory with office has three floors with a total area of 4,000 m2, making it one of the largest research laboratories for ornamental plant cultivation research in the world. It provides facilities for researchers in the fields of phytopathology, genetics, genomics and plant physiology.

C2N was appointed as project manager and supervisor to supervise the new BTC building. Completion took place in the first half of 2020.
