EDGE Amsterdam West is a redevelopment of an office building from 1970 located at Basisweg 10 in Amsterdam. The original building, designed by A.N. Oyevaar and later renovated by Architekten Cie, is one of the first offices in the urban development area of Amsterdam. During the redevelopment, the building has been modernized while preserving its historical connection.
One of the most notable features of the building is the impressive green atrium, which brings natural daylight into the building through a large glass roof. This atrium serves as the heart of the building, a meeting point for visitors, and a green urban oasis where people can relax, be inspired, and recharge. The refurbished office floors offer approximately 6,700 m² net per floor, designed to provide a modern, open workspace.
C2N played the role of BREEAM-NL Assessor in this project. On February 4, 2021, the project received the BREEAM-NL Design Certificate with an outstanding score of Outstanding.
