The Westfield Mall of the Netherlands officially opened its doors on 18 March 2021. The project includes: in Leidschendam is a unique shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment destination. In the process, the Leidsenhage shopping centre underwent a thorough renovation from 2017 to 2021, with parts demolished and rebuilt. For the new build part of the project, a BREEAM-NL New Build & Renovation certification was sought at level “Very Good” (*** stars) with a score of 63.81%. The final completion certificate was achieved in November 2021 at the desired ambition level.
Notable facilities: Shopping mall with approximately 280 shops comprising 120,000 sqm. Chic finish with attention to greenery and ecological amenities.

ainability consultant and BREEAM-NL expert, where we see it as our task to ensure that the client’s sustainability ambitions are realised at all stages throughout the process.
As a BREEAM-NL Assessor, the C2N team is involved in the BREEAM sustainability process.
