Oldelft Ultrasound’s new headquarters have been built on the TU Delft Campus. Oldelft Ultrasound is a company that develops and manufactures miniature equipment for medical ultrasound diagnostics. As a result, the building is designed with an R&D and production space that also matches the ecological value of the surroundings. The exterior facades are louvred with a mix of climbing plants. The slats provide a fine spot for insects and supports for nesting boxes for various birds. At the same time, they function as a nuisance light barrier for users of the building. Inside the building, an atrium provides additional daylight and high demands have been placed on the building’s comfort. The building is equipped with a CHP system and an extensive PV system on the roof. The PV panels supply more than half of the building’s energy needs, giving it an energy label A++++.

On 7 December 2021, this project was certified with an excellent score of 72.05%. C2N fulfilled the role of BREEAM Expert during this project.
