On 2 December 2014, the BREEAM-NL Completion Certificate Outstanding was obtained, making The Edge the most sustainable office in the world. The building is located at the Amsterdam Zuidas. The sophisticated design in combination with smart and advanced technology gives the building a sustainability score of 98.36 % (BREEAM-NL). The building was designed on the basis of high sustainability ambitions and the principles of ‘The New Way of Working’. By using innovative techniques, such as climate ceilings, triple glazing, CO2-controlled ventilation, integrated PV cells, energy-efficient installation and high-quality insulation materials, comfort and energy performance are very well combined.
