The Rock is one of the most prestigious office towers in the heart of Amsterdam’s Zuidas district. The building has 24 floors and is about 91 metres high. This makes it one of the tallest buildings on the Zuidas. Designed by architect Erick van Egeraat, the building was completed in 2009.

In 2021, this project was certified with a score of ”Good”. C2N fulfilled the role of BREEAM Assessor at the time.

Due to a major tenant change, Deka decided to upgrade the building in phases as regards the general areas and shell office floors, thus making it future-proof again for the next tenants. C2N was asked to prepare an ESG report for this project and, on that basis, to set out a sustainability strategy for the upgrades. Following the work, The Rock will be BREEAM-certified again and its energy label will also be reviewed by C2N.
