The One is the headquarters of HEMA and De Persgroep Employment Solutions, among others, and is located between Kraanspoor and Helling V. The robust, massive and tough appearance of The One matches the architecture and lines of the opposite Kraanspoor and the industrial character of the NDSM.

This structure, realized by BMB Ontwikkeling (Amsterdam Waterfront B.V.), has seven floors, three interior parking levels, and on the first floor it houses various creative offices, as well as a HEMA store.

The One is divided into two segments, which are uniquely separated by a roof garden located at a height of six meters. However, these parts are connected by the top two floors. Through the use of characteristic materials and an industrial design style, The One exudes the true NDSM atmosphere. The building is recognizable and at the same time completely unique. In use since 2010, The One has a total area of approximately 44,590 m², including the parking garage.
